Event Summary | During the session we will look in detail at science across KS1, how to develop pupils’ science skills through demonstrations and investigations and how to support pupils with SEND in science. |

Event description | This course focuses on developing science skills in KS1, considering a range of strategies for teaching and learning. During the course we will look into the national curriculum and identify scientific concepts that should be introduced to children duringKS1. We will discuss best practices for introducing these scientific concepts to avoid pupils developing scientific misconceptions. We will also look into some useful resources for supporting pupils with SEND in science. Particular attention will be given to demonstrations and investigations that can be carried during KS1. |
